Principal products include gears and transmissions, accessory gearbox assemblies, rotorcraft drive systems, and other machined and fabricated parts for helicopters and fixed-wing aircraft. In addition, we provide maintenance and repair and overhaul (MRO) on these same platforms.

Company History
Northstar Aerospace can trace its history beyond the dawn of the airplane and helicopter to a prominent Chicago businessman, machinist, and foundryman, Charles Plamondon. Through many mergers and acquisitions, including Foote Bros. Gear & Machine Company, D-Velco Manufacturing of Arizona, Derlan Industries, Boeing/Litton Precision Gear, and Windsor Gear & Machine Company, we became North America’s leading independent manufacturer of flight critical gears and transmissions. In 2002, Derlan Industries officially changed its name to Northstar Aerospace to focus on the aerospace business. In 2003, the corporate offices moved from Toronto, Canada, to Bedford Park, IL., and in 2012, Heligear Acquisition Co. acquired all of the assets of Northstar Aerospace.
